Analyst, Looker, Google Cloud
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Finance, another technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in analytics, operations, management consulting, or a similar industry/function
- Experience with cloud technologies, market dynamics, operational/go-to-market strategies, and sales methods
- Experience with SQL
Preferred qualifications:
- Ability to write complex queries and optimize query performance
- Knowledge of Looker as a data governance tool, especially Access Control List (ACL) layer
- Familiarity with vector data structures (e.g., accounts, opportunities, etc.)
About the job
As an Analyst for Looker within the Google Cloud Strategy and Operations team, you will utilize leadership expertise, business acumen, analytical insights, and creativity to support multi-level and regional Google Cloud organizations and their respective strategy and operations teams. You'll be a trusted advisor to the regions, consistently and globally reporting on dashboards to enable accurate assessments of business performance.
You will design and own a high-quality, integrated reporting platform, and through project management and oversight, ensure that an ongoing, comprehensive project plan is developed to migrate and merge existing reporting into a framework. You'll guide and manage a virtual team to innovate and iterate on this platform, while navigating complex and changing circumstances.
Using a customer-centric approach, you will build data exploration tools that drive business decisions for Google Cloud Sales teams. You'll work with stakeholders to identify their needs, build data models and key reports in Looker, and empower stakeholders to get the data they need in a consistent manner.Your work will empower others to perform better in their jobs.
You'll utilize clear written communication, including technical documentation, and engaging oral communication to train and enable others to use what you build. You will also bring a detail-oriented approach to spot possible data discrepancies and troubleshoot user errors.

Responsibilities
- Ensure global consistency in reporting of Google Cloud success metrics, adopting and sharing aligned definitions globally via a hub/spoke metrics model.
- Be a trusted business advisor to the regional Google Cloud Sales and Strategy and Operations teams.
- Dashboard and report migration projects, building key executive reports.
- Contribute to best practices/code reviews.
