Job Summary:

Restaurant Brands International, parent company of Burger King®, Tim Hortons®, Popeyes®, and Firehouse Subs is excited to hire an Analyst of Internal and Brand Communications at Burger King North America. We are seeking an individual who is hungry, humble, hard-working, and ready to tell the story of one of the world’s most loved restaurant brands.

This role will be responsible for managing internal communications with corporate employees, leading owned brand channels, and supporting external and franchisee communications for Burger King North America. This means leading all internal communications from brand-wide emails to quarterly in-person meetings, managing the Burger King LinkedIn and newsroom, supporting public relations, crisis and reputation management, and franchisee communications. This role will help translate business priorities to connect dots across audiences and  make communications more impactful and effective. This is a great opportunity for a passionate individual to understand the various aspects of communications and initiatives that come to life across various audiences.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who loves storytelling and is acreative, talented relationship-builder who can work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. They can use metrics to inform strategy, quantify success and glean insights to inform future plans.

This role reports to the Sr. Manager, PR & Communications for Burger King, has the unique opportunity to support across the BK communications team, and will be a key member of the larger global corporate communications team at RBI.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communications (40%)

  • Lead internal communications strategy driving overall Burger King narrative in support of multi-year business objectives
  • Play integral role in supporting BK corporate employee understanding and connectivity to multi-year plan and their role
  • Support quarterly Townhall meetings, guide content and support key stakeholders
  • Develop, draft, and distribute internal newsletter, internal email communications, internal intranet posts, etc.
  • Lead metrics, analysis and reporting across all internal communications channels and comparison to sister brands, recommendations for future, etc.

Owned Channels (40%)

  • Lead LinkedIn & BK newsroom strategy driving overall Burger King narrative in support of multi-year business objectives
  • Create process around content capturing and creation adapted for effective storytelling
  • Implement and drive channel measurement and analysis to provide recommendations that optimize content for future initiatives

External and Corporate Communications (5-10%)

  • Support management of media inquiry inbox
  • Support management of internal process around issues and crises including fact finding for context through recommended approach and draft responses
  • Support collaboration with the sustainability and corporate communication teams to understand key initiatives and communication recommendations
  • Support proactive public relations efforts including management of timelines, organization of initiatives, feedback on materials

Franchisee Communications (10-15%)

  • Own weekly newsletter routines – content collection cross functionally, draft content, manage approval process, and sending through platform
  • Support with posting and content maintenance of franchisee intranet platform


Qualifications:

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree of diploma in Communications and/or a related field
  • 1-3 years’ applicable experience
  • Effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills; able to effectively manage internal and external audiences
  • Deep analytical ability and exceptional Excel abilities
  • Strong organizational and work management skills
