Reports to Managing Director, Growth Team
Summary
The Account Director is well versed in developing and fostering long-term relationships with clients and partners. The Account Director is responsible for the full sales life cycle of prospecting, lead follow-up, qualifying, requirements discovery, business justification and closing opportunities with new customers. The Account Director also keeps the big picture in mind at their accounts and manages the key relationships within them while expanding those relationships across additional influencers at the C, VP, and Director levels.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying new accounts and partnerships that have the potential to yield significant booked business
- Expediently handle any incoming leads that may be assigned to them
- Building rapport and trust with prospects that foster conversations that lead to unearthing problems Analytics8 can solve
- Work with the Technology and Strategy team to assemble the right teams to help propose solutions for the problems discovered
- Provide accounts and prospects with sufficient information to help them make the right choice to proceed with significant investments to improve their analytics capabilities
- Push through process bottlenecks that slow the signature process and shorten sales cycles
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline to keep staffing team aware of progress in accounts to facilitate necessary hiring and training needs
- Keep delivery team aware of developments within accounts that might affect ongoing project work through participation in internal project status meetings
- Assist marketing team with success stories and client testimonials
- Work with Client Partners to leverage ongoing work to find additional advocates and needs within an account
Required Skills:
- History of success in selling services and/or software and consistently achieving goals
- Ability to execute a value-based solution selling approach to senior executives
- Experience developing and executing account strategies
- Understands Agile project delivery methods
- Understands Analytics, Data Management and Data Strategy concepts
- Manage the sales process through prospecting, qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, negotiation and close
- Marketing lead follow up including incoming leads and ongoing lead nurturing
- Prospecting for new clients outside of marketing generated leads
- Consultative sales experience
- Knowledge of software licensing
- Experienced in creating proposals, statements of work, and quotations
- Self-motivated with experience working in new geographic territories
- Consulting or Sales Engineering experience with Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing/Analytics projects
- Bachelor’s degree
- Ability to travel 50%
