Data Warehouse, ETL Engineer I
Job Description:
What You'll Be Doing
- Create, maintain and enhance Data components (metadata, reports, metrics, dashboards). In doing so participate in data modeling, business process analysis and development of reporting functional and technical specifications.
- Write and maintain technical documentation supporting ETL deployments.
- Monitor report environment performance, logged errors and system activity to facilitate SLA management. Coordinate resolution of issues as needed.
- Provide project status and progress updates to Management team.
- SQL programming skills, experience deploying on enterprise RDBMS.
- Domain knowledge preferably Supply Chain ERP/ MS Dynamics Report Development (AR / AP / GL / FA)
- Knowledge of agile methodology for delivering software solutions
- Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Strong unit test and debugging skills and writing unit test cases from functional requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ Year experience on Pentaho Data Integration and Data analysis - Strong Resource who can work Individually.
- Experience accessing data through different types of data stores such as web services, RDMS, flat files etc.
- Experience with Git or SVN
- JavaScript, XML, JSON, PL/SQL, shell scripting, database scripting, Java.
- Knowledge of ETL technologies such as Kettle - http://www.pentaho.com/product/data-integration
- Linux and Mac OS X
- Comfortable running jobs and doing basic navigation on Linux servers.
