Own end‑to‑end delivery of advanced Power BI reporting solutions. Work closely with business, data engineering, and operations to turn requirements into robust, governed, and supportable analytics products that follow our internal design standards.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and translate them into report designs, KPIs, and user stories.
Design and build enterprise‑grade Power BI reports and dashboards, aligned with internal UX/design standards and reusable components.
Define the semantic layer: translate business needs into measures, calculations, and dimensional models; propose and validate the underlying data model.
Work with data engineers to translate semantic/model requirements into source data structures, data pipelines, and transformations.
Collaborate with Operations to define SLAs, monitoring, and validation points (data quality checks, reconciliation rules, alerting).
Develop complex DAX measures, calculation logic, and row‑/object‑level security; ensure accuracy, performance, and consistency.
Optimize dataset and report performance (model design, aggregations, indexing, partitioning, incremental refresh, query tuning).
Use Git‑based workflows (branches, pull requests, code reviews) and CI/CD pipelines to version, test, and deploy Power BI assets.
Contribute to and enforce standards: modeling conventions, naming, folder structures, documentation, and governance practices.
Work as an active member of a Scrum team (refinement, planning, reviews, retrospectives) and support stakeholders during rollout and adoption.
Job Qualifications
Several years of hands‑on experience delivering end‑to‑end Power BI solutions in a complex business environment.
Expert knowledge of Power BI (Power Query, DAX, TMDL format, Field Parameters, Calculation Groups, etc.).
Strong data modeling skills (dimensional/star schemas, semantic modeling) and solid SQL experience.
Proven experience working with Git and CI/CD for BI/reporting solutions.
Experience collaborating with data engineers and operations/SRE teams on SLAs, monitoring, and validation.
Strong communication skills; able to challenge, refine, and document business requirements clearly.
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with broader Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
Knowledge of data warehousing, BI architecture, and governance.
Experience in large, international organizations.
Relevant Microsoft certifications (PL-300, etc.).
