The Team:

The Design team provides extensive graphics support for S&P Global products, from short articles to larger reports and presentations. We work collaboratively across geographies to create a range of basic to complex infographics, maps, and data visualizations. The team is part of the Editorial, Design and Publishing group, which offers editorial, desktop publishing, design and workflow management services to help deliver actionable insights and equip our customers with the unique and essential intelligence they need to make decisions with conviction.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Design and develop engaging visual content, including data visualizations, data-driven animations and motion graphics for both print and digital production.
  • Create layouts for PDF reports that align with our brand standards and ensure error-free content.
  • Format large Excel spreadsheets according to our brand standards, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Create and format Excel charts and design icons that adhere to our brand standards to effectively visualize data and enhance communication.
  • Collaborate with editorial and analysts to design engaging visual content, focusing on data visualization and information design, while interacting with team members and external peers to provide semi-routine information related to assigned tasks.
  • Create data-driven video animations and motion graphics to enhance storytelling and user engagement.
  • Familiarity with Flourish, Tableau, Power BI, or other dashboarding and online tools is a plus.

What We’re Looking For:

  • BA/BS, preferably in communications or graphic design.
  • 0 to 2 years of related experience with basic proficiency in graphics and publishing software.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to engage with colleagues and stakeholders in a constructive and collaborative way.
  • Deep understanding of how to use technology to enable and drive activities in the business.
