As a Data Visualization Associate in our Finance team, you will spend each day defining, refining and delivering set goals for our firm. You will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into compelling visual stories that drive business insights and decision-making. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative thinking, and strong communication skills to effectively convey data-driven narratives to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of data visualization projects to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and interactive visualizations using tools such as Tableau
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing best practices in data visualization and data management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on data visualization techniques and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data visualization and analytics.
- Communicate complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to various audiences, including senior management.
- Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of data sources and visualization tools.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in SQL, developing and managing advanced BI dashboards involving data visualization, and data-driven analysis
- Strong Tableau/Power-BI dashboard design, development and server deployment knowledge
- Strong Alteryx workflows development and server deployment knowledge
- Hands on experience writing complex SQL Queries for analyzing huge data sets.
- Programming tools such as SQL, Python, R or SAS
- Ability to collaborate and work as a team.
- Problem solver and solution oriented. Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Experience with big data technologies and machine learning is a plus.
- Experience working in data transformation & cloud migration projects is a plus.
- Jira and Agile practices
