The Role

The NVIDIA Operations organization is seeking an intern with a Master’s degree or equivalent experience for the position of Data Systems Analyst. The intern will be working to support data quality initiatives in the Operations Data Analytics organization.

As a Data Systems Analyst RDSS Intern, you’ll have an opportunity to collaborate with customers, external suppliers, and team members to advance the creation of analytics solutions. You will play a key role in developing analytics, supervising data quality and ensuring effective delivery by working closely with teams like IT, Operations, and business units, as well as external partners like contract manufacturers, ODMs, and SIs.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assist in identifying business gaps in analytics solutions and proposing improvement actions. Additionally, perform data quality audits, identify anomalies, and contribute to data validation processes.

  • Collaborate with teams to understand and define data quality attributes and metrics that work best for our shop floor data and file delivery. This ensures help to validate the integrity and quality of our data.

  • Engage with external contract manufacture partners to fix data discrepancies. Additionally, collaborate with internal teams, such as Product Design Engineers, to resolve data issues, ensuring smooth data flow and accurate analytics.

  • Support the design and development of dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Use your knowledge and understanding of SQL and Python to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from relational and semi-structured databases.

  • Build dashboards to help monitor data quality by using data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI etc

  • Learn to work with Product Development Engineering team to translate SKU/PFG Definition into part chain structure from wafer to die to finished goods for supply chain manufacturing execution.

What we need to see:

  • Master’s degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent experience with programming knowledge (i.e Python, Java, etc), and experienced in writing sophisticated DB query SQL.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and interpret raw data, as well as ability to build dashboards and reporting using data visualization tools.

  • Good understanding of machine learning/data mining /statistical modeling concepts, and a track record solving problems with these methods.

  • Ability to work on modern data science workflows on the cloud, and ML frameworks. (Git, Jupyter Notebook, Azure, AWS, Databricks, Spark-SQL, Airflow).

  • Good communication skills to effectively explain technical solutions to non-technical audiences.

  • Knowledge regarding data models, database design development, data analytics and experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, etc).

  • High energy with a positive problem-solving attitude, and strong multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.

  • Independent and motivated individual who can little guidance to demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.

  • Coursework or project experience related to semiconductor manufacturing, supply chain management, or data analytics.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization and turn complex ideas into simple to understand solutions.
