Job Description
The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is responsible for the overall data strategy, analytics, reporting, and governance across the firm's CAO functions. This function supports groups such as Global Supplier Services, Global Security, Global Real Estate, Amenity Services, Document & Business Solutions, and CAO Strategic Initiatives. Our team's mission is to help our organization manage its data assets and find the best solutions to surface insights from our data in an effort to drive business goals & initiatives, enhance analytics, and streamline reporting. In doing so, we look for improvements ranging from establishing quality data repositories to designing cutting edge analytic insights utilizing the latest data visualization and machine learning tools.
The Data Strategy team within the CAO CDAO is responsible for developing and executing CAO's Data Strategy and CAO CDAO's overall strategy, balancing the team's book of work in alignment with CAO business groups, managing programs and controls adherence, communicating team achievements, and managing special projects. It is a multifaceted group that utilizes a variety of skillsets to support execution of the CAO CDAO.
We are seeking a Data Strategy & Business Operations Senior Associate to manage our Intelligent Solutions Program, facilitating the assignment, development, governance, and promotion of a variety of data solutions and workflows. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and delegation skills and be comfortable designing and executing risk-based program governance models. Reporting to the CAO CDAO Data Strategy VP, they will work across multiple stakeholder and developer groups to drive a strategic direction for Intelligent Solutions development across CAO. They will also coordinate with firmwide groups on best practices and knowledge sharing.
A successful candidate will have experience juggling multiple priorities and quickly updating senior management with status updates and requests for action. They may come from a consulting or data analytics background and have strong time management skills.
Key Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with senior stakeholders and CAO CDAO leadership team to support the delivery of priority CAO initiatives and objectives
  • Work with business stakeholders, Data Strategy, and CAO CDAO leads to understand and translate key business needs into a clear, actionable project demand and track overall book of work and achievements for the team
  • Facilitate benefits estimation, prioritization, development, and controls adherence for various data solutions across CAO (e.g., dashboards, reports, automations, workflows)
  • Perform Quality Assurance testing, including facilitating and reporting remediation of identified observations
  • Coordinate and participate in forums between key stakeholders to discuss development, socialization, and implementation of issues
  • Design controls and governance for firmwide standards and policies, and track adherence to the same
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with the lines of business and corporate functions (e.g., Corporate Finance, Technology, and Lines of Business)
  • Enhance the above with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Execution of the above processes with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of meeting deliverables on prescribed timetables / calendars


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant industry knowledge, ideally coupled with consulting, data analysis, product management, or financial and business management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to prepare executive-level presentations from limited or highly-detailed information
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel and PowerPoint in particular) required
  • Advanced organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills with an ability to work independently
  • Intermediate to advanced analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights and actions from data
  • General understanding of data systems, data structures, and Business Intelligence a plus
  • Experience coordinating projects or processes across multiple teams/constituents
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Interpersonal and relationship-building skills - with an ability to influence
  • Must be comfortable speaking to Senior Management and presenting ideas
  • Ability to run meetings across diverse functions, locations, and businesses
  • High Emotional Intelligence
  • Consulting background a plus
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA a plus
