This highly collaborative position requires an individual who can act as the subject matter expert and orchestrator for data standards, working across systems and functions to maintain the adherence and delivery of our data value chain.

The Opportunity

  • Define and develop data standards for all data types (master, transactional, analytical and reference data) where alignment is required across PT systems or the broader Pharma value chain.

  • Collaborate with broader PT and IT stakeholders to build a comprehensive understanding of the overall PT data and systems landscape to identify needs for aligned and common data standards.

  • Orchestrate solutions where misalignment of standards across systems creates downstream impacts, engaging relevant stakeholders, team members, and executive sponsors as needed to resolve issues.

  • Work closely with Data Steward Leads, System Owners, and Data Owners to ensure data standards are understood, implemented, and effectively adhered to.

  • Drive impact assessments for new and updated data standards to understand and mitigate upstream and downstream impacts.

  • Work closely with PT Regulatory function, Data Stewards, and Data Owners to develop and maintain data lineage and catalogs that meet regulatory standards and consider external CMO standards.

Who You Are

  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in a data standards related role, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, with proven experience in developing and implementing data standards.

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technology related field.

  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in data governance standards for master, transactional, analytical and reference data types; data driven, with the ability to analyse and interrogate data.

  • General Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders; highly attentive, with strong attention to detail.

  • Familiarity: Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake), data quality solutions (e.g. Monte Carlo, Atacama), and data cataloging tools (e.g. Collibra) is beneficial.
