Job Overview
Our growth as a company means that we need to grow our support team as well, which is why we’re looking forward to having you on board of our team as a Junior Data Specialist. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and expanding macroeconomic content in the Macrobond application. Your work will include sourcing data from national, international & private sources, performing updates, database administration, and more. Depending on your skills and experience, you may be assigned to a junior, regular or senior role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performing time-series updates in an accurate and timely manner
- Filtering & scrubbing data to identify data patterns and correct data problems
- Communicating with data sources to ensure that data is maintained at a high standard
- Finding & defining opportunities to improve update processes (data automation)
- Cooperating with team members & your team leader, sharing knowledge with less experienced colleagues
- Taking part in internal projects as you develop within the organization
Required Qualifications and experience:
- University degree (Bachelor) or Associate degree in Economics/Statistics/Finance
- Fluent English and Putonghua required for handling data, internal tools & cross-department communication
- Fluency in Vietnamese will be an advantage
- Proficiency in using Excel
- High attention to detail and analytical approach to data filtering & data processing techniques
- Right to work in Hong Kong (IANG visa holders are welcome to apply)
