The Boeing Company is seeking a Data Solution Architect (Senior or Lead) to support their Enterprise Services Technology and Systems Data Management Office team in one of the following locations:

This position sits within Boeing's Enterprise Services organization. Enterprise Services is a team of 2,500+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing's products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers - creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise.
We are looking for a Data Solution Architect to support our transformation journey. The qualified candidate should be curious, looking for insights into data that can turn into actionable and measurable outcomes, and a storyteller at their core.
Position Responsibilities
- Works with the Enterprise Services and Data Management Office leadership team to build complex, detailed visual display and stories out of data to drive actionable outcomes
- Assembles large and complex sets of industrial data and utilize the data pipeline and data infrastructure to meet functional business requirements
- Builds out new platform integrations within The Boeing Company or with our partners or vendors to support the organization's growing data volume and complexity
- Identifies and implements internal process improvements aimed at achieving greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating existing manual processes
- Builds required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading Extract Transform Load (ETL) of data from various data sources using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and SQL technologies
- Understands data modeling concepts and best practices while working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
- Supports Master Data Management initiatives by building and maintaining the technical infrastructure that enables the consolidation, cleansing, and standardization of master data from various sources across the organization, ensuring a single source of truth
- Builds and improves data-driven models and analytical tools that provide information to downstream Business Intelligence tools providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and asset performance management
- Implements processes and tools to monitor data quality ensuring high data integrity and availability to key stakeholders
- Works closely with a team of frontend and backend engineers, product managers, analysts, business units and engineering teams to develop a resilient strategy for long term data platform architecture
- Follows industry best practices for documentation of standards, processes and data architecture for future reference and compliance
- Implements data storage solutions, including data lakes and warehouses

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team's discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 + years of experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence
- 5+ years of experience using SQL for application interactions with databases (i.e. Oracle, MYSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience with database content management and database querying languages
- 5+ years of experience working with data and data warehousing business solutions
- 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following programming languages (C, C++, Fortran, Python, Matlab, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, MapReduce, Hive, Pig, Spark)
- 5+ years of experience with Cloud hosted platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Do you have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems or a closely related field
- Experience with interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in taking problems, creating solutions, and executing to deliver value for customers
- Experience mentoring and coaching employees
- Experience delivering business and data analytics solutions in a manufacturing, engineering, energy sector, oil and gas industry, or another type of operations environment is a plus
- Experience in collaborating across the globe
- Willing and able to travel up to 20% domestically

Summary pay range for: CA, PA, VA, WA (Lead, Level 5): $184,450 - $249,550
Summary pay range for: AZ, MO, SC (Senior, Level 4): $142,800 - $193,200
Summary pay range for: AZ, MO, SC (Lead, Level 5): $172,550 - $233,450
