Internship Position: Data Services Intern
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Duration: Summer 2025
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented third-year college student to join our Data Services & AI team as an intern. This internship will provide hands-on experience in supporting our data team with various documentation systems and architectures. The intern will gain valuable insights into data management, SQL, data warehousing, and data pipeline builds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Documentation Systems and Architectures: Assist the data team in documenting systems and architectures, ensuring all information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Document and organize Standard Operating Procedures for the Data Services team, ensuring consistency and clarity in all processes.
- Document Organization: Organize and maintain the Data Services team's documents, ensuring they are up-to-date and easily retrievable.
- SQL Learning and Configuration: Work on learning SQL and assist the team in configuring SQL-based tasks, such as Billstream.
- Spreadsheet Analysis and QA: Analyze and perform quality assurance on spreadsheets used in our manual processes, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
- Data Warehousing with Snowflake: Gain an understanding of how data warehousing works in Snowflake and how systems are interconnected using Boomi.
- Basic Data Pipeline Builds: Participate in building basic data pipelines, gaining hands-on experience in data integration and transformation.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a third-year college program, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong interest in data management, SQL, and data warehousing.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of SQL and data pipeline concepts is a plus.
