Do you like working creatively with data analytics, big data, AI, visualisation, NoSQL and databases? Would you like to join an international organisation where we already work with data analytics and machine learning projects? Join BEUMER Group and exploit the chance to innovate, develop and test concepts for products and tools and most importantly, develop your own skill.
You will team up with colleagues, so you can share and grow your knowledge within the data science field. It also means focusing on using data from an already existing infrastructure where we collect data from more than 350 sites worldwide.
Join our Customer Diagnostics Center
You become part of our Data Analytics department, which is part of our Customer Diagnostics Center (CDC). In the CDC, which is part of our Customer Support division, we are tasked with making sure our installed base of systems around the globe are healthy and running smoothly.
Here, you join a well-established but agile team of highly sought for data scientists. You have the freedom to develop solutions across the organisation focusing on creativity and innovation on the conceptual stages of possible new products, services and tools.
In the CDC, you will find a multitude of skills and competences, and we enjoy an informal atmosphere where we combine our strengths to create brand new solutions for colleagues and customers. Moreover, you become part of a data analytics forum where we work closely with universities to expand our knowledge.
Create value through data across the organisation
Through a continuous dialogue with our business and product development, you will be responsible for defining new products, services and tools based on data and machine learning. We are a large organisation with several specialist fields, which means that we can enjoy the value of data analysis across disciplines.
Your tasks will include:
- Initiating mining of existing data from material handling systems running in production, looking for possible bottlenecks, optimizations etc.
- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.
- Participating in the maintenance of the existing data pipeline.
- Participate in defining and evaluating new techniques for data collection and analysis.
- Drive the rollout and extension of our data collection to all sites in the BEUMER Group.
We have a strong preference for open-source software and are working with platforms and tools such as Kubernetes, ArgoCD, MLFlow, vLLM, Elastic stack, Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Numaflow, Python/Java/Golang, Jupyter notebooks and Opentelemetry. You will test and implement prototypes, e.g. for customer solutions or for your colleagues to provide them with the right tools to perfect their work. As such, you bridge the worlds of product development, subject specialists and technology to innovate the business.
Experience with data driven decision making, big data and concept development?
Most important to this role is that you have a good all-round technical foundation, allowing you to implement software, configure tools, understand our domain and be a sounding board in the creative process. To do so, we also imagine that you:
- Hold a master's degree or PhD as a computer scientist, engineer, physicist or similar.
- Have a great understanding of and hands-on experience with using data analytics for system and concept development.
- Speak and write English fluently and it is a big plus if you understand Danish as well.
Personality-wise, you are a strong communicator who can work across the organisation and with customers. Your strength is within innovation and creative thinking, which shows itself in added value in the concept development process and tests.
