We are looking for a skilled Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven applications and analytics, ensuring efficient data flow and accessibility. The ideal candidate will thrive at the intersection of technical execution and program delivery, with experience across data engineering, data science, and stakeholder engagement. We have Data Scientist positions across McLean, VA; Reston, VA; Herndon, VA; and Chantilly, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and model complex datasets to identify trends, discover anomalies, and support investigative activities
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and data visualizations using to communicate key performance metrics
- Analyze large amounts of complex disparate datasets to extract insights and drive financial decision-making
- Create and standardize project templates and reusable code packages for data science and analytics pipelines
- Build and maintain data models using a variety of query languages
- Develop and maintain data infrastructures that support machine learning workflows, including data storage, feature engineering, and model training.
- Support software deployment and data integration workflows across classified and unclassified networks
- Provide technical input and system design support for efforts involving large-scale, multi-source data processing and architecture planning
- Optimize and troubleshoot database functionality for existing applications
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or related fields.
- Solid understanding of relational database normalization and principles and experience optimizing database performance particularly RDS for PostgreSQL
- Experience with physical and relational data modeling and implementing data strategies
- Experience implementing and maintaining relation database security
- Expertise in Performance tuning, database indexing, Query optimization and exception handling.
- Proficient in working with views, triggers, and stored procedures
- Experience in developing, creating, and modifying data structures and load routines for business use
- Hands-on experience with AWS data services and familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
- Experience with API development and integration
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation
- Strong understanding of data science workflows, anomaly detection, and analytical modeling
- Demonstrated experience using Git, Jira, and other collaborative development tools
- Background working in agile environments and handling full data project lifecycle
- Experience supporting cloud-based or containerized deployment (e.g., Docker, Apache Airflow)
- US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required
Desired Experience:
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying AI and Generative AI models and algorithms
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve business challenges using AI technologies
- Researching and staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and GenAI

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
