Position Overview
We're seeking a Data Scientist to deliver high-impact analytics solutions and translate data into actionable business insights. You'll execute analytical projects, develop data visualizations, and conduct statistical analyses to support business decisions.
A Day in the Life
- Execute analytics projects and conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover business insights
- Extract insights from structured and unstructured datasets using advanced data modeling
- Develop advanced analytical solutions using SQL, cloud platforms, and analytics tools; ensure data quality
- Conduct statistical modeling, predictive analytics, and data-driven investigations
- Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau, Excel, and similar platforms
- Present findings and recommendations; communicate complex analyses into clear insights for stakeholders
- Work with provided requirements and deliver technical analyses with minimal oversight
What You'll Need
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and a cloud platform (GCP BigQuery preferred)
- Strong data visualization and communication skills—translating technical findings for stakeholders
- Experience working independently and maintaining quality standards
- Problem-solving mindset for complex data challenges
- Comfortable with using LLMs and Agents (experience with LangChain a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with attribution modeling, cohort analysis, or predictive analytics (experience with structured and unstructured medical claims data strongly preferred)
- Proficiency in data pipeline development and automation
- Experience with experimentation design and statistical testing
- Experience working with healthcare data and knowledge of United States’ healthcare system
- Experience managing freelance or consulting engagements
- Some overlap with EST and GTM
Salary range: $150,000-$180,000
BGB Group is headquartered in New York City, and the salary range listed reflects the expected base compensation for this role in the New York City metropolitan area. This position may be performed remotely within the United States. For candidates located outside the New York City area, compensation will be adjusted to reflect the applicable market for the employee’s primary work location. Final compensation will be determined based on geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
