About the Role
We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our team at RHB Bank. In this role, you will work with large and diverse datasets to generate insights, build analytical models, and support data-driven decision making across the Bank. You will collaborate closely with business and technology teams and contribute to the continuous development of data science practices.
What you will be doing
Conduct data mining and extraction from various sources.
Utilize machine learning tools for model building to support decision making
Contribute to the development of best practices in data science.
Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to find patterns/insights and propose solutions.
Develop insights from data patterns to support decision-making.
Participate in project to render support to project team with minimum supervision
Collaborate with peers to share expertise and insights.
Mentor and guide associate data scientist in analytics projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on analytics initiatives to achieve the business revenue or cost value goal outcome
Contribute to the development of best practices in data science.
What we’re looking for
Degree in data science, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
Strong experience in data analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
Hands-on experience working with both structured and unstructured datasets.
Proficiency in data science tools and programming languages commonly used for analytics and modeling.
Ability to translate complex analytical results into clear business insights.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work across teams.
Self-driven, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
Experience mentoring or guiding junior team members is an advantage.
