We're looking for a Data Scientist to join our Beijing Office!
What Success Will Look Like:
- Design and develop metrics and models to draw insight from large data sets to identify new data-driven products and services.
- Understand the business context for the Conviva data well enough to be able to interpret it, clean it and transform it into a consumable format.
- Interpret analytical insight of statistical data with the appropriate business context and provide guidance to business decisions.
- Tracking cutting-edge algorithms, actively using new technologies, new algorithms, new ideas, and new concepts.
- Evaluate and optimize models to ensure performance and stability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, data engineers, and product managers, to jointly develop and deploy end-to-end machine learning solutions.
Who You Are & What You've Done:
- Recent or upcoming graduate with BS or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other related majors
- Statistical knowledge (e.g. Hypothesis testing, Probability distributions) is a must-have ability. Be able to perform data manipulations and analysis, including aggregation, distribution, ordering, etc., with programing languages such as SQL, Scala, R or Python.
- In-depth understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms, with familiarity in common machine learning frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc. The candidate should have the ability to formalize a business problem into a machine learning problem.
- Familiar with big data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Hive, etc..
- Good spoken English communication skills
- Strong communication skills and teamwork spirit, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other stakeholders.
- Strong interest and enthusiasm for technological innovation and problem-solving, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
Bonus Points:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, etc., with solid programming skills and software engineering experience.
- Participation in domestic or international modeling competitions with honors.
- Publication of machine learning or artificial intelligence-related papers at top academic conferences.
