VES is seeking a Data Scientist with an active security clearance to join our exciting team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant projects, leveraging advanced analytical techniques to drive data-driven decisions and innovations.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and PyTorch. The Data Scientist in this role will conduct complex data analysis and processing using Python while ensuring the security and integrity of the data is in full compliance with security protocols. This person will also lead data science projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has substantial experience in data science and machine learning, with a proven ability to apply these skills in a secure environment. The candidate should have the ability to propose innovative solutions to complex data-driven problems.

The anticipated work location is in the Arlington, VA or Dahlgren, VA (we anticipate a position in each location)

Travel: Infrequent 10%

Required Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
3-5 years of experience in a data science role
Proficiency in Python programming and extensive experience with TensorFlow and PyTorch
Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms and principles
Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret complex data.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team and lead projects.
Clearance: SECRET

Desired Experience

Experience working in a secure, data-sensitive environment.
Experience with additional programming languages or big data tools
Contributions to data science research or open-source projects
