Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

• Between two and six years of relevant experience;
• DS/ML/AI products design, prototyping, development, deployment, upgrades, maintenance rebuilding/retraining, customizations, etc. for all DS/ML/AI-driven solutions;
• Data sources and data partners R&D: identification, research, cleansing, evaluation, patterns recognition, feature prototyping and integration into DS/ML/AI solutions. Analyse data for trends and patterns and interpret data with a clear business objective in mind;
• New DS, ML, and AI technologies, techniques and solutions R&D: research, evaluation and application within DS/ML/AI solutions. Take the initiative to experiment with various technologies and tools with the vision of creating innovative data-driven insights for the business;
• Actively work with Data Engineering teams and Data Architects to provide and explain requirements (as DS is a stakeholder for almost all DE initiatives), and to ensure quality and robustness of production and customer-facing solutions;
• Continuous development and management of the DS R&D ecosystem and infrastructure;
• Continuous support of customers’ meetings, managing the feedback loop with the customers, labelled data feedback, and corresponding ML/AI logic and solutions improvements, production deployment and corresponding communication with the customer, etc;

Essential educational, R&D and communications skills:

• BSc degree (preferred MSc or PhD) in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Physics, Probability and/or Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical or quantitative discipline/field;
• Main technologies used by the team: Python, R, Scala, Databricks, Spark, AWS (S3, Lambda, Glue (based on Apache Spark), SageMaker, etc.), Cassandra and SQL Server etc;
• Excellent research skills and ability to learn new skills;
• Attention to detail and ability to consider tasks from multiple angles to produce robust analyses;
• Excellent cooperative skills and ability to work in a team environment/team player;
• Strong ability to work in an autonomous environment;
• Excellent organizational skills;
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Serbian.
