SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our data quality team. This person will work with our team of data scientists, data engineers, and data analysts to promote data visibility and excellence.  

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, data-savvy person, capable of learning our business in detail. She or he will work in a dynamic environment and will be expected to take ownership of different data products. Passion is a MUST and passion for data even more so!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop new metrics, methods, and tools to monitor and evaluate our big (actually HUGE!) data quality. 
• Use a creative combination of data analytics methods, algorithms, statistics and business intelligence to build new data tools and support existing ones. 
• Be ready to dive into the trenches - manually crank, turn and spin wheels to turn things into a success.
• Work closely with production teams and business stakeholders ensuring high-quality handshake in productization phases.
• Take an active part in Placer.ai data science community, share expertise and drive initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ Years of experience in working with large datasets - a must
• Proficiency in Python - a must
• Proficiency in PySpark - a must
• Data Science and Statistics skills
• Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills
• Data Visualization skills
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
