DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Research and develop cutting edge natural language (NLP) processing personalization models to enhance the firm's business application capabilities. Develop robust software solutions in Go and Python, including comprehensive unit test cases and seamless end-to-end API integration. Use CICD deployment tooling such as Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins to customize, configure and deploy full-stack machine learning (ML) applications into production. Proficiently work in cloud environments (namely AWS and Azure) to deploy various components of the application into the cloud stack, more specifically, S3 and RDS for cloud storage, OpenSearch for embeddings and text search, AWS EKS, ECS and Lambda for compute. Evaluate and recommend third-party AI/ML vendors that may benefit the firm. Stay at the forefront of the modern Machine Learning landscape by attending conferences, reading leading publications, and presenting insights internally. Document and reproduce third party research and investigate feasibility of adoption into the firm. Closely collaborate with business and product management teams to gather requirements, produce strategic roadmaps, implement projects within timelines and organize effective product demos to highlight team's progress and new capabilities. Collaborate with internal AI research and Center of Excellence ML team in joint ventures. Independently direct large-scale machine learning projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and alignment with business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineering, Software Engineer, BI Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineering, Software Engineer, BI Developer, or related occupation.
Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: AI and ML competencies including Natural Language Processing; end-to-end lifecycle development of ML models using MLOps and LLMOps framework; working with language models prompting and parameter-efficient fine tuning; working in domain- optimized ranking models; working with machine learning model performance analysis using metrics including ROUGE and BERTscore; prompting and parameter-efficient fine tuning of Language Models; Programming Languages including Go and Python; Working in modern Python libraries including Polars, PyTorch, and Asyncio; Production experience with Cloud and Infrastructure deployment using AWS Cloud Services including EKS, ECS, SNS, SQS, S3, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes; Machine Learning model delivery using multithreading techniques and automating runtime using Airflow; Working with multi-modal LLMs that includes text and image processing; Developing AI models tailored to solving business-specific problems in the wealth management domain.

Full-Time. Salary: $180,100 - $210,000 per year.
