Data Scientist

RADAR’s mission is to revolutionize customer experience in retail through precise identification of inventory in the stores and distribution centers, completely transforming the in-store experience for employees and customers alike.  RADAR's proprietary hardware and software platform combines RFID and Computer Vision to provide hyper-precise, real-time location of every product and person in physical stores.  This unprecedented capability enables retailers to automate in-store inventory management, analytics, and checkout...and this is just the beginning of what we hope to accomplish together.

RADAR is looking for a Data Scientist to help grow our research, machine learning and data analysis capabilities. This position requires extensive collaboration with teams and functions across the company ranging from product and customer success to engineering and research.

Required:

• You have 4+ years of experience working in a data science, analytics engineering or machine learning engineering role.
• You have strong proficiency in Python and standard data science tools / packages (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter, etc.).
• You have strong proficiency in Big Data query tools such as SQL or Apache Spark.
• You have experience in the development, maintenance and monitoring of data and machine learning pipelines.
• You have a solid foundational understanding in statistics, probability and linear algebra.

Preferred:

• You have experience developing data products within a retail environment e.g. space/range/display. optimization, demand forecasting, personalization, out of stock prediction.
• You have experience working with real-time data streams and large-scale data warehouses.
• You have experience creating analytics solutions using visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau.
• You have experience using Cloud based tools for ML development, deployment and monitoring e.g. Vertex AI (preferred), Sagemaker or Azure ML.
• You have a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent practical experience or Master’s degree in a relevant field

At RADAR, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The expected base salary range for this position is $150,000 - $240,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors,  including job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Use of artificial intelligence or an LLM such as ChatGPT during the interview process will be grounds for rejection of your application.

The pay range listed for this position is a good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
