Exiger's Proactive Intelligence Team is excited to welcome to an experienced Data Science Professional. We are searching for talented research professionals who know this industry and are passionate about research and data analysis.
Our ideal candidate is creative, adaptable, positive, proactive and hard-working. They should have a fearless attitude, and view problems as challenges. They will be a person of integrity, and desire to work within a team of like-minded people with diverse expertise to build state of the art software solutions used by clients working at massive scale. They are able to articulate their thoughts verbally and on a whiteboard and enjoy considering differing perspectives.
This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity based out of our Richmond, VA office.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
- Develop and implement databases and data collection systems that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends
- Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design
- Participating in R&D collaborative brainstorming and planning sessions
- Actively helping teammates with their issues
- Evaluating and introducing new tools and techniques to the team
- Proactively identifying areas for improvement, seeking solutions and making recommendations
Professional Experience Required
- 2+ year practical experience in predictive modeling, data processing and data analytics
- Strong background in Statistics and Math
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R
