YOUR ROLE:
JOB PURPOSE
The Data Scientist is an individual who is curious, intellectually driven and has a passion for breaking down abstract problems into understandable and measurable parts. Part anthropologist, part mathematician, part hacker, the Data Scientist will help our clients understand the segment of the population that buys their products as well as the segment that does not. Data scientists don’t have “typical” days –you will be responsible for complex deliverables and be expected to prioritize your team towards the most effective tasks without constant supervision. These may range from writing scripts to automate data cleanup, tweaking predictive models or contributing to a brainstorming session.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
• Simplify complex business problems into manageable parts that can be quantified and analyzed
• Apply advanced analysis methods to predict outcomes
• Propose compelling, evidence-based theories that explain trends in metrics
• Work closely with the rest of the MKS and account teams to understand the business context of the account
• Stay up-to-date on latest industry news and analysis techniques
• Help design dashboards and automate reporting with scripts
• Assist in tagging and data infrastructure design
• Design A/B tests and other measurement frameworks
• Represent our discipline, data and insights to wider teams
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
• Great English skills (B2+ level at least)
• 1 –3 years experience producing deliverables with either python or R, Panda and exploratory data
• 1 –3 years experience applying advanced statistical analysis to produce work deliverables
• 1 –3 years experience explaining complex topics to a non-technical audience
• Knowledge in S3, Docker, AWS and SQL is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly from a wide range of different subjects
• Operating effectively even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
• Anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technological applications
• Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
• Making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to solve problems
