Job summary:
As a Data Scientist Lead, Vice President within our analytics team, you will manage effective engagement in initiatives which require the development and deployment of advanced analytical solutions. You will be hands-on in conducting analytics and modeling with use of various tools such as R, Python, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL. You will also be accountable for business impact and robustness of solutions delivered including: analyses, procedures, models, test designs.
Job responsibilities:
- Run workstreams, owns initiative end-to-end, manages stakeholder requirements and work in matrix environment
- Prioritize and manages in a way that uses resources effectively, communicates findings, issues and proposed solutions to business executives
- Engage diverse groups of colleagues and clients
- Stay abreast of trends and best practices and factors into approach
- Identify process improvements and efficiency enhancements
- Appreciate operational complexities and how they may translate into risk on a given project.
- Coach and facilitate others to solve problems, strong problem-solving leader
- Produce clear and succinct written and verbal communications and knows how to think through and frame messages for different audiences
- Use knowledge of current industry development to recommend enhancements to client service
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Generally 6+ years of experience in data science or other related fields
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or related field
- Masters or PhD in a related field, or Bachelors with 5+ years' experience in a related discipline
- Intermediate knowledge of AI/ML packages, statistical tools including Python, SQL and R
- Knowledge of Data Mining & Visualization and tools like SQL, Tableau, Alteryx
- Subject Matter Expert in statistical techniques, predictive modeling, time series forecasting, text mining
- Comfortable communicating complex concepts into digestible information to be consumed by audiences of varying levels in the organization
- Ability to transform information derived from data into actionable insights which directly relate to the organizations key strategic objectives
- External client exposure / skills
- Strong story telling capabilities
