Data Scientist Intern

Job Summary

In this role, you will gain experience using programming, statistics, and data science to build pipelines for machine learning applications. Additionally, exposure to real-world data (from various measured and simulated sources), and the associated difficulties of working with such data, will be provided through the internship.

The successful internship will conclude with the intern having learned the machine learning development lifecycle through implementation of new projects.

Please note, this is a 12-16 week summer internship from June to August/September. You must be able to work onsite in our Boston, MA office at least 3 days a week. There is no relocation assistance.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing literature to identify appropriate machine learning models
• Designing and implement machine learning models using modern frameworks and best practices
• Working with varied real-world datasets to train the machine learning models
• Analyzing, evaluating, and documenting your findings

Education, Experience, and Skills

• Working towards Bachelor’s (Junior or higher), Master’s, or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent.
• Collaborative spirit with keen attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to operate independently or semi-independently
• Ability to research, implement, and document machine learning algorithms

The hourly range for jobs which are performed in US, Massachusetts is $20.00 to $30.00. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and work location.

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and 1-day of your choice. In certain circumstances the hybrid work model may change to accommodate business needs.
