Data Scientist Intern

PROS is seeking applicants for the position of Data Scientist Intern. This applicant should have a strong passion for AI. In this position the Data Scientist intern will work with Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers to design and build science solutions and models that go into PROS Platform. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing algorithms that leverage the power of AI to solve business problems. PROS is looking for team players with a firm grasp of the technical aspects and a strong aptitude towards understanding the business aspects. Preferred candidates must be highly motivated, success oriented, and work well in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Conduct research and analysis to assist in creation, enhancement and testing of science models and algorithms
• Assist in data collection and preprocessing for previews and testing of science models and algorithms
• Generate reports and visualizations to communicate findings inside science team
• Collaborate with more senior team members for understanding of requirements

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a graduate degree (PhD preferred) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field
• Good understanding of machine learning models and algorithms
• Strong technical background in at least one of math/stat related fields
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML libraries
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively with a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in AI
