Data Scientist – Focus Predective Analytics (x|f|m) - Hybrid

We are looking for a Data Scientist – Focus Predictive Analytics (x|f|m) for the Central data platform & AI department at Sartorius Corporate Administration GmbH.
In this role you will focus on applying advanced analytics and AI methods to support business strategy and enhance decision-making processes to shape the future with us.
This position is available for full-time. It is a hybrid role requiring some days on site at our headquarters in Göttingen or Berlin with the opportunity to work some days remotely.

• You will be responsible for designing and implementing predictive analytics solutions in a holistic context to deliver actionable insights and support evidence-based decision making across the organization

• You will use advanced statistical, mathematical, machine learning and AI methods to deliver customized solutions to meet business objectives with an optimal balance between accuracy, efficiency and interpretability

• You will promote the data and AI-driven decision making framework by effectively communicating insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences

 What will convince us

• You have a degree with a focus on mathematics, data science, computer science or a related field

• This is complemented by proven professional experience in the areas of predictive analytics, statistical modelling or data science

• You have extensive experience in writing production-ready code in Python

• In-depth understanding and practical experience with statistical analysis and forecasting methods such as ARIMA, gradient boosting, random forest or neural network based methods

• You are familiar with optimization algorithms, parallel data processing and working in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure or remote clusters

• Know-how in supply chain optimization or financial forecasting is a plus

• You are characterized by excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to work closely with stakeholders to align AI insights with business goals

• Your profile is rounded off by fluency in German and English
