In this role, you will apply advanced statistical techniques and machine learning models to generate actionable insights from financial data. Your work will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making, enhancing risk management, improving forecasting accuracy, and driving financial performance analysis.
This is a full-time, hybrid position, based at our headquarters in Göttingen or at our Berlin site, with flexibility to work remotely on selected days.
Grow with us – Your Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the development and implementation of forecasting models for income statement and balance sheet items
This includes data preparation and analysis to identify patterns and correlations between different data points
Your tasks will include analyzing source data and forecast results, monitoring model performance and clearly explaining results in both technical and non-technical terms
You will work closely with various business units (e.g. divisional controlling) to identify and implement additional use cases
You will also collaborate with data engineers and front-end developers to optimize the end-to-end data pipeline and application
What will convince us
You have successfully completed a degree in data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics or a related field
This is complemented by several years of professional experience in development in Python and in working with relevant tools (e.g. SciPy, statsmodels, Scikit-learn, etc.)
Solid knowledge of statistics and related algorithms (e.g. time series, decision trees, neural networks) is a prerequisite. e.g. time series, decision trees, neural networks) is required
Experience in writing code at production level
Knowledge of financial transactions is desirable
You are characterized by a high level of analytical thinking and strong problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
