We are seeking a talented individual to join our Marsh RISK team at Marsh ASIA. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. The Data Science Solution Specialist plays a critical role in building analytical models and delivers data-driven insights to solve business problems. Curate and maintain high-quality data assets to support analytics across the organization. Collaborate with business analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to translate data into actionable recommendations and scalable analytics solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams in Marsh ASIA.
We will count on you to:
- Curate, validate, and maintain data quality standards across regional and global databases
- Develop and maintain data models that support analytical and reporting requirements
- Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) and statistical analysis to identify patterns and insights
- Develop analytical and statistical models to address business problems and drive decision-making
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements and analytical approaches
- Build scalable analytics pipelines from data ingestion through reporting and visualization
- Develop and maintain scripts and notebooks for data processing, analysis, and reporting
- Work with development and architecture teams to design robust, scalable solutions
- Validate analysis, test assumptions, and optimize for accuracy and reliability
- Create data visualizations and reports communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high development standards
- Troubleshoot data quality issues and resolve technical challenges
- Document methodologies, approaches, and data lineage for knowledge transfer
- Stay current with emerging data science tools and techniques
- Maintain security, integrity, and business continuity controls
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or related field
- 7+ years in data science, analytics, or related analytical roles
- Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong proficiency in Python
- Data modelling and data mapping expertise
- Experience with data quality, governance, and curation principles and building ETL pipelines
- Hands-on experience with statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, experimental design
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, Power BI, or similar)
- Proficiency with version control systems (Git, SVN)
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with Agile development practices
- Experience with industry-accepted design standards
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to business audiences
- Ability to work in geographically dispersed teams
