As a Data Science Manager, you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate closely with senior business stakeholders in the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) organization and other organizations within Pfizer, and help drive data-driven decision-making across the commercial organization.
In your day to day, you'll be challenged to utilize advanced analytic techniques to address key business questions, provide valuable insights on performance and customer understanding to enable major decision-making for the North America commercial organization.
Successful candidates will be team-oriented, will demonstrate strong communication and consulting skills and will have hands-on experience working with and analyzing large datasets.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement sound, objective secondary data analysis on marketing and field force promotional effort to enable the execution of key marketing and sales initiatives.
- Solve unstructured business problems by designing and executing customized, novel and high priority analytical projects utilizing advanced analytical techniques.
- Execute statistical and data mining techniques on large datasets to identify trends, facts and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align analytics capabilities with broader business objectives, fostering collaboration and effective decision-making.
- Partner with colleagues on experimental design, ensuring statistical/methodological rigor across POCs.
- Be a hands-on teammate who can Utilize tools like R, SQL, Python, to conduct analysis to communicate results to the business stakeholders.
- Code and experimental work at a meaningful capacity (not purely managerial).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS plus min 4-5 years of work experience as a data analyst and project lead for a diverse range of projects
- Background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) majors with quantitative emphasis such as Actuarial Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Economics, Engineering
- Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Strong hands-on coding ability in Python; working knowledge of common ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
- Basic cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Snowflake or GCP); container experience (Docker) a plus.
- Solid grasp of ML/AI fundamentals and experimental design basics (train/test splits, evaluation metrics, avoiding common pitfalls).
- Collaborative and results-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in quantitative field or quantitative MBA is preferred.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical commercial analytics industry and management consulting
- Knowledge, insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (IQVIA, Rx/Sales, etc.)

Skills Required
