Data Science Intern

3-month internship

At Desjardins, the Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence is responsible for assisting the business sectors and support functions with their advanced analytics and AI needs. This includes developing, implementing and producing analytical models for use cases with significant business value, exploring new methods and developing innovative products based on the most recent advances in AI. It also actively monitors these advances, as well as best practices in the field. As a data science intern, you’ll help transform our data into value-added information that facilitates decision-making within the organization and helps us develop solutions and services that address our needs and challenges. More specifically, you will be required to :

• Help monitor and track AI performance

• Take part in exploring, evaluating and developing innovative AI methodologies and products to support data valorization

• Use statistical methods, machine learning and artificial intelligence to leverage data, and to develop and maintain models and segmentations that meet business needs

• Work alongside data scientists and various business sectors on a multidisciplinary squad to design, develop, deploy and monitor machine learning and AI systems

• Identify opportunities to improve rules and systems and help develop performance monitoring tools

What you bring to the table

• Be a student in a bachelor's or master's degree program in data science and artificial intelligence, in statistics, math, computer science or any other relevant field

• Your educational institution must credit or certify your internship toward a degree in an appropriate discipline

• Knowledge of French required

• Knowledge of Tableau

• Knowledge of SQL

• Knowledge of Python
