OneMSCI R&D Quality & Architecture is a newly established cross-functional organization within R&D, created to drive consistent quality standards (especially from quantitative finance perspective) , modular architecture, and AI-first workflows across MSCI’s product lines.
As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in operationalizing this mandate by supporting the implementation of analytical validation frameworks, promoting modular design principles, and enabling the adoption of AI-driven workflows. The role requires close collaboration with research, engineering, and platform teams to ensure scalable, consistent, and high-quality product development.
Your Key Responsibilities- Execute and support cross-product validation frameworks from the business / financial logic perspective.
- Identify quality gaps and recommend improvements aligned with firm-wide standards
- Ensure AI-driven workflows meet defined quality thresholds
- Support implementation of modular architecture principles across products
- Identify reuse opportunities across platforms to reduce duplication
- Contribute to design and architecture reviews for new initiatives
- Assist in defining and implementing best practices for AI-driven workflows (e.g., agents, automation, pipelines)
- Evaluate new AI use cases against established standards and governance models
- Support initiatives to transition manual processes into AI-enabled workflows
- Partner with product ,engineering and R&D teams
- Ensure consistent application of standards across business lines
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), quantitative finance, Investment analysis and Index management, or any other highly quantitative subject.
- 5-9 years of experience in quantitative profile in Finance. Knowledge of Indices is a plus.
- Some experience with any of the following languages: Python, C#, Java, C++
- Good analytical and quantitative skills. Willingness to learn about capital markets.
- Detail-oriented approach to daily work.
- Strong written and oral proficiency in English
- Strong sense of ownership with projects. Proactively identify and implement improvements to processes, products or services.
- Exposure to AI/ML workflows, automation frameworks, or agent-based systems .
