Job Description
Takeda Business Solutions (TBS) is a global function within Takeda with the objective of enabling Takeda's business strategy, delivering innovative simplified solutions and cost reduction, improving service and providing a transformation engine for continuous improvement for Takeda. Innovation, Analytics & Automation (IA&A) is a function within TBS that enables us to realize our TBS vision by harnessing the power of cutting-edge technologies and drive innovation. IA&A partners with DD&T (Data, Digital and Technology Unit) on Automation solutions, AI/GenAI innovation, reporting and
analytics solutions powered by Data for Takeda, to better serve the needs of our patients and improve business performance.
Reporting to the Artificial Intelligence Innovation Lead, the 'Data Science Analyst' will be responsible for:

  • Supporting Takeda Vision and Data strategy through collaboration with business stakeholders at Takeda (global, regional and local teams) and the DD&T teams to unlock business value by using data science analysis and algorithm design
  • Support building Global Reports on common data platforms in partnership with DD&T to cover critical business stakeholders reporting requirement
  • Support roll-out of tested Proof of Concepts (POV) in Analytics and Data Science
  • Conduct business analysis activities that are critical for solutions development as well as serve as a support to key business stakeholders for decision making
  • Identify data science analytics needs by collecting Stakeholders input on required KPIs and metrics. Perform discovery phase from data and business process perspective to indicate best approach towards analytics calculations
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience in developing and training AI/GenAI models.
  • Apply advanced Python skills for data analysis, model building, and deployment.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support TBS data strategy implementation through data science analysis, enabling the development and application of analytics solutions.
  • Assist business stakeholders with analyses that drive behavior change and improve processes and performance.
  • Employ best-in-class data science techniques to support solution design efforts.
  • Collaborate with DD&T and business teams to enhance data models for business intelligence tools and data science models, increasing data accessibility and fostering data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Demonstrate proven experience in building and training AI/GenAI models.
  • Utilize Python for data analysis, model building, and deployment.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and the application of data science solutions.
  • Perform data analysis to design fit-for-purpose solutions.


EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Master's degree in Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics and/or data science.
  • Extensive experience in developing and training AI/GenAI models.
  • High-level proficiency in Python for data science applications.
  • High degree of integrity, confidence, self-awareness, and learning agility.
  • Customer-centric and solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Proven track record in providing solutions based on business user needs.
