As a Data Risk Management Lead- Vice President in our Data Governance team, you will ensure that our Lines of Business and Corporate Functions adhere to firmwide Data Risk Management Policies, Standards, and Procedures. You will be instrumental in developing and overseeing project plans, engaging stakeholders, and aligning deliverables with compliance requirements. Your role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to data integrity and security.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans with clear tracking to target dates.
  • Ensure strong stakeholder participation and engagement.
  • Collaborate with Compliance to align deliverables with policy requirements.
  • Utilize metrics to demonstrate progress and conduct regular risk assessments.
  • Critically evaluate proposed solutions and employ risk-based approaches for rollout schedules.
  • Define project requirements and deliverables, driving and participating in project milestones.
  • Communicate project progress and decisions to management through effective presentations.
  • Actively participate in workstream meetings, driving agendas and tracking actions.
  • Monitor project details and status, efficiently escalating and resolving issues.
  • Partner with technology infrastructure groups to drive solutions.
  • Analyze and parse data using Excel and other tools to recommend firmwide approaches and coordinate execution activities for Data Protection, Retention, and Classification Governance.


Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in Data Risk Management, Data Protection, Retention and Destruction, or Data Classification.
  • Proven track record in strong project management delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working with people at all levels.
  • Ability to manage complexity and deliver solutions within tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational management skills, including issue and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent business judgment, with the ability to proactively monitor projects.
  • Proficient in project management tools and PC skills, including Word and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookups.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Experience in a financial services environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to data governance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with data governance tools and technologies.
