Position Summary:
The Reporting and Data Analyst will be responsible for leading data activities for the Firm’s immigration practice group, including establishing protocols for data integrity, performing data analytics, and executing reporting functions for the highly specialized Immigration Department. This position will take the lead on various ad hoc data projects, including the migration of data from a legacy case management system to a new system, including field analysis, data extraction, data cleansing and transformation, data mapping, and data transferring. Additionally, the Reporting and Data Analyst will also assist with the development of complex dashboards for clients and sales pitches.
The candidates must be fluent in English.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Designs and maintains data systems and databases, including developing Data Models to mine data from primary and secondary sources

Develops descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive data models

Prepares viewable summaries (dashboards) of data for consumption by non-technical stakeholders for both internal staff and external end-clients, using tools such as Excel and data visualization software (e.g., Microsoft Power BI)

Develops and improves the team’s reporting system and overall capability. Assists with the evaluation and implementation of data systems, tools, and processes to enable data management and analytics capabilities

Simplifies and automates new and existing data and reporting processes, transitioning daily reporting activities into low effort, reusable reports

Gathers, analyzes, documents, and translates reporting requirements into functional specifications to meet business objectives

Completes ad hoc reporting requests from clients and internal teams, developing and implementing data reports and visualizations to effectively communicate insights

Generates internal reports, including monthly reports on status document expirations, max-out dates, green card eligibility, and conditional green card expirations

Plans, develops, and delivers operational reports for internal staff and external end-clients

Contributes to the internal audit function through auditing client records, conducting data cleansing and ensuring data quality by utilizing reports to guide data cleanup efforts

Acts as the lead for new client data migrations and other data requests, under the direction of the Practice Group Manager, including migrating data and documents for new clients to firm systems and corresponding with clients for necessary documentation

Serves as point of contact for other data personnel on technical matters

Stays current with the latest data analysis tools and techniques

Works overtime as needed

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

Fluent in English speaking and writing

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred

Minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience in advanced Excel formula writing

Minimum of 5 years’ experience with coding, SQL scripting, R, Python, SSRS, SSIS and ETL
-
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with writing basic visual queries such as in Power BI
-
Must have advanced level of programming knowledge (reporting code) and of relational databases, database structures and design, systems design, data management, and data warehousing

Familiarity with immigration processes or the legal sector preferred

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook

Be a Polish citizen living in Poland or a foreign national living in Poland with the right to work in Poland without a work permit

Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English (working in an English-speaking environment only) and Polish
