The Data and Reporting Analyst reports to the Director of Staff & Cultural Development providing design, collection, reporting and analysis for all SCD initiatives. This individual is responsible for providing timely, accurate, secure, and structured data that allows leadership to make informed and timely decisions.
*** This position is located and worked on campus in Winter Park, FL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer logistic support and analytic expertise to develop, and improve SCD initiatives including, but not limited to: Learning & Development, Recognition, Wellness, Communications, Retention, and Orientation. (Examples include: Monthly New Employee Orientation report, Navigator School report, Weekly and Monthly review of employee retention data, updating of Employee learning data)
  • Collaborate with other divisions to provide data and information relevant to the performance of their employees in SCD programs.
  • Interface with the Workday system and Human Resources Analyst to collect timely and relevant information on new hires and employee retention.
  • Manage a secure and accurate archive of all SCD related data, projects and reports (including the SCD Dashboard, Quarterly reports, and Annual Report)
  • Maintain the security of sensitive information, provided by Human Resources, used in SCD decision making. This includes, but is not limited to: Checks of satisfactory performance for participation in learning initiatives, new hire data, employee learning data, employee retention data, engagement data, confidential survey data.
  • Lead the monitoring of employee sentiment analysis by aggregating, identifying trends in, and reporting on employee feedback (Glassdoor/Indeed, External Employee Engagement Surveys, Exit Data, Surveys etc.) monthly to report to the Senior Director of SCD, Director of Staff & Cultural Development, Full Sail Vice Presidents, and the Office of the President.
  • Develop statistical models to measure the impact of SCD efforts based on performance of those efforts, engagements at individual and group levels, and both short- and long-term impact on Full Sail as an organization.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, patterns and opportunities that support ongoing improvement of the organization.
  • Communicate findings through reporting, presentation, and meetings.
  • Assist with all SCD initiatives as needed, including leading collaborative cross-departmental taskforces related to data needs.
  • Attend weekly team meetings on campus and attend SCD Events, campus events (Including but not limited to: New Employee Orientation, President’s Message, Navigator School, Recognition Ceremonies, Spring and Summer Learn and Grow Events, Holiday events, and any other events produced by SCD)

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Management or related field.
  • A minimum of two years’ work collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting data.

Competencies

  • Strong experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or other analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with database/data warehouse and visualization including interactive dashboards, data mining
  • Proficiency with data structuring, organization, cleaning and security
  • Managing data including creation, updates and storing of reports
  • Creation and maintenance of interactive dashboards
  • Experience with predictive analytics
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote
  • Strong data storytelling and visualization skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills

Computer/Equipment Skills

  • Strong experience and proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
  • Proficiency with either Tableau, Microsoft Power BI, or other analytics platforms preferred
  • Proficiency with database/data warehouse and visualization including interactive dashboards, data mining preferred
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint or Keynote required

Environmental Factors/Physical Demands

Work is performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often on their feet presenting, regularly required to maintain active staff and faculty communication; access, input and create content while on a computer. May be subject to bending, reaching, kneeling, stooping and lifting up to thirty (30) pounds.
