Mid-level Data Reliability Engineer

We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Reliability Engineer to join our Data Platform Engineering team, which is responsible for the platform that enables data visualization and communication among ebankers. You will collaborate closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Software Engineering teams to ensure the reliable delivery of data that supports key business decisions. Your main focus will be contributing to the development of data governance solutions and Database Reliability Engineering (DBRE) initiatives.

As a DRE inside this team, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring the quality, reliability, and availability of data in large-scale systems;
• Developing and maintaining robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines;
• Implementing and improving monitoring and alerting systems to detect issues in real time;
• Building and maintaining backup, recovery, and automation solutions to enhance data reliability;
• Investigating and resolving data quality issues, such as inconsistencies and duplicates;
• Collaborating with teams from different departments, including Engineering, Data Science, and Operations, to ensure efficient use of data;
• Defining and monitoring data reliability metrics, like SLAs and SLOs, to maintain high standards;

What is indispensable for the job?

• Experience with developing data pipelines or automating data-related tasks;
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala;
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., BigQuery, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch);
• Practical experience with data services in at least one Cloud platform: AWS or GCP;
• Familiarity with data quality concepts;
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team;

What would be a plus?

• Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow);
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform);
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch);
• Understanding of basic SRE principles applied to data;
• Experience with deploying and monitoring cloud infrastructure;
