Position Title:
DATA QUALITY SPECIALIST (Editor)
English-German/French/Dutch fluent
Position Summary:
Provide final data quality assurance for all assigned project reports. (both content and language-wise)
Language knowledge:
Proficient English and German/French/Dutch fluent
High level proficiency is a must in these languages, less than that will not qualify for the role.
We will test the selected applicants language knowledge with a task.
Essential Duties:
- Edit project reports for accuracy in spelling, language usage, grammar and consistency/relevance of content.
- Report inconsistencies/contradictions in report content; notifying evaluators and requesting clarification when necessary.
- Closely examine reports for scenario breaches, "instructions not followed" and flag potential issues for the Project Manager.
- Ensure professional layout
- Score reports according to BARE standards and provide appropriate feedback to evaluators.
- Review questionnaires/guidelines before start of fieldwork for flow of questions, item ambiguities, spelling/grammar errors, overall intelligibility
- Provide timely feedback to the Senior Editors
- Report/communicate specific editing problems to the project teams
- Coordinate with Operations on client change requests and update other editors as needed with project instructions
- Work closely with the Project Managers to improve questionnaires and guidelines for projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ year relevant experience in proof reading/content editing and/or in preparing financial offers.
- Proficient English and German/French/Dutch knowledge
Key Skill Competencies:
- Analytical skills: ability to check and correct inconsistencies in calculations.
- Accurate spelling, grammar and proofreading in the appropriate language.
- Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Proficiency with Internet, Skype, and/or other communication technology
Key Knowledge Competencies:
- Languages: thorough grammatical knowledge of applicable language(s) - English and German
- PE-mailing etiquette
