The team seeks a self-motivated, analytical, and technically driven Data Quality Analyst to help develop and implement data quality projects to maintain and improve the quality of Morningstar databases. This role will work closely with global data subject matter experts and owners to provide measurement of data timeliness, completeness, consistency, and accuracy, through executing the audit and benchmarking projects and participating in quality improvement projects. Some of the key tasks include:• 3 to 5 years of Experience• Perform cross-product and database audits leveraging best-available technology; complete the expected samples assigned for different audit projects and commit to the deadline.• Identify and analyze data quality issue and defect reasons during the audit process. Partner with data owners efficiently to get alignment on the errors detected. Participate and drive quality improvement processes.• Support projects through sprint cycles from initiating, planning, execution to reporting. Commit and deliver project scope and timeline based on requirement. Provide support to the audit reporting process where the results are delivered to data operations, senior leaders and global stakeholders.• Maintain effective communication with data owners and subject matter experts to understand project requirement, audit framework and principles.• Engage regularly continuous process improvement.• Bachelor/master's degree in finance/business with an exceptional academic record.• Strong interest in developing expertise in data quality, operational processes, and process improvement. Lean mindset - committed to maximizing value while minimizing waste and dedicate to build a culture of continuous improvement.• Solid knowledge in finance and accounting.• Project management skills to support large data quality projects and presenting results to senior leaders. Excellent analytic skills and a strong attention to detail.• Strong intra-team communication skills. Ability to collaborate and deliver quality outcomes under tight deadlines.
Working knowledge of Jupyter Notebooks, Python, SQL, and MS-Excel a plus
