The Data Quality Analyst works across PXC to embed trusted,
high quality data.
The role delivers data quality reporting, assessments, and
insight; applies the data quality framework across BAU and change; and works
with stakeholders to identify issues, prioritise remediation, and drive
continuous improvement.
Through education and constructive challenge, the role helps
build data quality capability and supports confident, insight led decision
making.
About the team
By educating, enabling, and constructively challenging data
owners, the team helps ensure data is accurate, compliant, and fit for
purpose—supporting insight led decision making, regulatory confidence, and
delivery of PXC’s business strategy. The team plays a critical role in PXC’s
ambition to operate as a data driven organisation and remain competitive as a
value player in the market.
Key Responsibilities in the role:
Accountability, Ownership, Authority
1. Data Quality & Assurance - Accountable for the
quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across assigned
domains.
• Identify
data quality issues, risks, and trends, and clearly articulate business impact.
• Deliver
data quality reporting, dashboards, audits, and impact assessments.
• Ensure
data meets agreed standards, regulatory requirements, and business needs.
2. Standards, Frameworks & Controls - Owns the
operational application of the data quality framework.
• Define,
document, and maintain data quality rules, KPIs, thresholds, and controls in
collaboration with data owners.
• Support
the consistent adoption of data quality standards across BAU and change
initiatives.
• Act as a
subject matter expert for data quality methods, tooling, and best practice.
3. Delivery & Continuous Improvement - Owns end to end
delivery of assigned data quality initiatives.
• Lead and
deliver data quality workstreams within agreed scope and timelines.
• Partner
with onshore and offshore teams to investigate issues and implement solutions.
• Drive
continuous improvement through proactive monitoring and insight-led
prioritisation.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Enablement - Accountable for
building data quality capability across the business.
• Educate
and support stakeholders in understanding data quality expectations and
responsibilities.
• Promote
awareness of the value of high-quality data and the risks of poor data quality.
• Communicate
clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.
5. Authority & Decision Rights
The Data Quality Analyst has authority to:
• Challenge
data quality practices that do not meet agreed standards or pose business risk.
• Recommend
prioritisation of data quality issues and remediation actions.
• Propose
data quality rules, KPIs, and monitoring approaches for approval.
• Escalate
material data quality risks and non-compliance through agreed governance
routes.
