Data Protection Specialist, DDIT ISC

Job Description Summary

Location: Prague, Czech Republic; Barcelona, Spain; Hyderabad, India
The Information Security Governance team is looking for a Data Protection Specialist to join the team! This position will support the Novartis Crown Jewel program to safeguard critical Novartis information, and enable risk-based decision making and safeguard both patient and Novartis information.
This is an entry level position intended for a professional with junior experience that will challenge and grow their data protection and risk management skillsets.

 

Job Description

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Analyse information risk data, summarize key findings and recommendations, create and monitor key performance indicator trends, prepare reporting for leadership teams. 

• Maintain portfolio of Crown Jewel application – monitoring & reporting. 

• Provide training and guidance on data protection practices and information risk management to employees. 

• Leverage strong PowerPoint and Excel skills to manage data and present risk analysis findings to key stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data protection controls are implemented. 

• Conduct assessments and collect data to ensure appropriate data classification, labelling and adequate protection measures targeting

What you will bring to the role:

• 2-4 years of experience in IT or IT Security

• Practical (hands-on) experience with risk management, IT consulting and/or IT audit

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as management reporting experience.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management, with ability to articulate complex risk scenarios to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership on a task and deliver through completion, as well as good teamwork and collaborative approach

• strong interest in risk management and information security, with curiosity and willingness to grow and develop within the team and Novartis

Desirable:

• Professional information security and/or risk management certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC, Management of Risk, etc.) is a plus.
