Data Product Engineer

Position Summary:

The Data Product Engineer will report to the Data Product Engineering Lead within the Data Science and Engineering team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end to end technical delivery aligned with the business initiatives
• Design, develop, test, and implement data engineering solutions aligned with the data platform architecture and strategy. Configure the application for best performance
• Establish, improve, and implement SDLC processes including development, testing and production deployments
• Apply Agile and DevOps practices. Ensure platform requirements (functional and non-functional) are met per design and architecture.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including ZTD Infrastructure, IT, business, and Information Security teams to evolve technology solutions
• Engage and collaborate with technology partners/industry forums to stay abreast of technology trends externally, applying them to Zoetis as per business needs
• Document features, modules, requirements, and the risks of each project

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field

Experience:

• 5-8+ years of solid understanding in data analytics concepts (data ingestion, data warehouse, data lakes, reporting etc.)
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, data management, big data solutions, machine learning and AI frameworks

• Built, optimized, and maintained ETL pipelines using Databricks for large-scale data processing

• Strong experience in Azure cloud and data platforms services including Data Factory, Data Bricks, databases, ETL/ELT concepts, IAM, and security controls
• Knowledge / experience in DevOps and Agile methodologies
• Collaborate with cross teams, infrastructure, and security teams for the best and timely delivery. Work closely with business partners and deliver as expected in timely manner and cost-effective way.

Knowledge, Skills, Ability Requirements:

• Strong analytics and problem-solving skills with experience across a broad spectrum of analytics
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Experience in healthcare/Life Sciences is preferred but not required
• Strong team player working on cross functional deliverables

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to
be located in Colorado. Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $91,000 - $149,000

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, NJ Remote, NY Remote, or Washington. Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.

Base Pay Range: $103,000 - $168,000

This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
