About the role
About the RoleData is a critical asset for HL. To support business transformation and unlock value through BI, analytics, machine learning, and data products, we require a robust, scalable data platform. This role works across the organisation to understand business capabilities and evolve our platform and data foundations to meet current and future needs.What You’ll Be Doing
- Play a key role in a major organisation‑wide transformation.
- Partner with technical and business leaders to understand processes, data flows, challenges, and opportunities, and design solutions that deliver better outcomes.
- Define the technical vision, strategy, and governance for the data platform in collaboration with the core team.
- Identify and drive opportunities to simplify and improve how the organisation works with data.
- Shape and develop a high‑performing team of experienced data professionals.
- Lead technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation.
- Build a culture focused on purpose, excellence, and meaningful impact.
- Strong leadership experience in complex organisations.
- Proven track record of leading transformational change.
- Ability to partner effectively with multiple business areas and work with a one‑team mindset.
- Extensive experience delivering data capabilities that enable colleagues to access and use data effectively.
- Comfortable operating under pressure, managing competing priorities, and driving clarity and results.
