Data Platform Architect (Azure Databricks)

Modern Data Platform (MDP) is Renesas's global strategic data platform supporting the utilization of AI and BI. Users requirements continue to expand and evolve rapidly. To meet these needs, we need to expand functionality and deploy new capabilties more strategically, effectively, and quickly, while maintaining strict and comprehensive security. To achieve this, we are seeking an experienced individual that can continue to evolve this service from a platform architecture and technical engineering perspective, focusing on the core underlying technololgy stack of Azure Databricks. This is a rewarding position that will influence and impact the entire company, playing a central role in technical matters such as AI integration, security design, and global collaboration. You will be able to utilize the latest technology and at times work closely with management to participate in decision-making.

【Job Description】

Responsible for evolving and implementing platform architectures and technical engineering approaches for use with Renesas's modern data platform, built on Azure Databricks. to enable AI and Data productivity.

Key Responsibilities
•    Maintain and evolve the platform architecture design for Renesas's modern data platform
•    Coordinate with IT infrastructure and security teams to introduce new technology solutions
•    Coordinate new solutions with AI and BI teams, perform proofs of concept as needed
•    Lead IT projects and cross-functional initiatives related to AI and BI as a technical architect

【MUST】
•    Experience with Databricks and Cloud platform and operations (Azure or AWS etc.)
•    5+ years of experience in BI and AI development or operations or management
•    Python, JSON, REST API, ETL tool, SQL and AI skills
•    Advanced comprehension of data modeling
•    Communication and presentation skills in both English and Japanese

【WANT】
•    Project management experience
•    3+ years experience with Azure; certifications preferred
•    Databricks certifications preferred
