Principal Objective of Position:         

We are looking for a proactive, analytical, and technically capable Data Operations Specialist to join our team. This role sits at the intersection of construction operations, data analysis, process improvement, and automation.
As a Data Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by developing scalable solutions, improving operational processes, managing project data, and helping transform complex construction information into meaningful insights for both internal teams and clients.

Key Functions of This Role: 

  • Supporting the setup, maintenance, and delivery of construction projects across multiple clients and project types.
  • Working with construction schedules and programmes to ensure project data is accurately structured, maintained, and reported.
  • Developing Excel- and Python-based solutions to automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce operational risk.
  • Collecting, validating, aggregating, and analysing data from multiple sources to support reporting and customer requirements.
  • Investigating operational challenges and independently driving solutions from problem identification through implementation.
  • Building and improving reporting processes, dashboards, and data workflows.
  • Supporting the development of internal tools, systems, and best practices that improve project delivery and operational excellence.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch new products, onboard new projects, and improve existing workflows.
  • Identifying opportunities for standardisation, automation, and continuous process improvement across the business.
  • Ensuring high levels of data quality, consistency, and accuracy across project deliverables.

Education and Experience Required: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Architecture.
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant professional experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with large datasets.
  • Experience with Python, scripting, automation, or data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of construction projects, project controls, or project delivery processes.
  • Familiarity with construction schedules and project programmes.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, and Microsoft Project (MPP).
  • Understanding of project controls, planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and construction reporting.
  • Experience with process automation, workflow optimisation, or operational improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation and reporting tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage complex project data accurately.
