As a Data Operations Senior Associate in Commercial and Investment Bank - Middle Office, you conduct independent analysis to uncover patterns leading to new questions and solutions through data collection, integrity, utilization, requirements, and analysis. You apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope. Use your elevated technical skills to support the design and development of metrics reporting and dashboards to enable Operations Management to execute their strategic objectives and ensure conformance with all controls, policies, and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the delivery of information, insights, and solutions that inform business strategies and decisions by making recommendations for managing more complex situations.
  • Evaluates information and processes for analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Validates hypotheses, mitigates risks, and optimizes solutions.
  • Contributes significantly to the development of predictive models and data insights.
  • Sources and structures datasets to build graphical visualizations and programming decision-support dashboards, utilizing Intelligence Automation to help with operational efficiency, risk mitigation, and process optimization where strategic solutions are not feasible.
  • Collaborates on functional requirements from stakeholders and translates them into technical and data requirements.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience delivering data-driven problem solving or equivalent experience.
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze complex data and develop accurate conclusions with sufficient business comprehension to understand risk implications.
  • Experience working on the development of predictive models and data insights.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office suite experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data migration.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, data warehousing, Python, Tableau, and Power BI.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Knowledge of query writing and execution using data analysis tools.
  • Certification in Data Technology, Agile, or other project management applications.
  • Experience with additional data analysis tools and technologies such as R, SAS, Hadoop, and Spark. (Plus)
  • Familiarity with data visualization best practices and tools like QlikView or D3.js. (Plus)
  • Understanding of data governance and data quality management principles.
