This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented candidate who  is eager to learn and ensure that information flows accurately and on time.

The mission of our Data Operations team is to deliver high-quality, accurate data that supports Sword’s products and clients. We focus on maintaining strong data quality standards, improving operational processes, and ensuring smooth data integrations across the organization.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams - customer success managers, data engineers, product managers, clinical operations, payer partners - to ensure client files are processed correctly and on schedule;
  • Continuous Learning: Gain experience in healthcare data standards, data privacy requirements, and automation tools over time.

What you need to have:

  • Data Foundations: Basic understanding of data processing and data quality principles;
  • SQL Skills: Hands-on experience writing SQL queries to extract and analyze data;
  • Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: Capacity to maintain meticulous documentation of processes, to support troubleshooting and repeatability;
  • Problem-Solving: Interested in identifying data issues, helping troubleshoot discrepancies and supporting process improvements;
  • Growth focused: Desire to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.

What we would love to see:

  • Healthcare Data Exposure: Familiarity with eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, or prior authorization data, and an interest in learning how these data sets are structured and used across the healthcare ecosystem;
  • Data Broker & EDI Exposure: Familiarity with data brokers (e.g. Availity, Change Healthcare) or EDI Transactions, especially 270/271 and 834 transactions;
  • Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of handling Protected Health Information (PHI) within HIPAA and other relevant regulatory frameworks, with a strong sense of data governance and security;
  • Professional Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a data-related or operations role.
