What you’ll be doing:
- Data Preparation & Processing: Support data ingestion workflows by cleaning, formatting, and validating healthcare data from multiple sources;
- Quality Checks: Run validation scripts and checks to ensure data accuracy and completeness; identify and flag potential data issues;
- ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) Support: Assist in maintaining ETL pipelines by performing data uploads, monitoring processes, and escalating issues when needed;
- Documentation: Maintain clear process documentation to ensure consistency and repeatability;
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams - customer success managers, data engineers, product managers, clinical operations, payer partners - to ensure client files are processed correctly and on schedule;
- Continuous Learning: Gain experience in healthcare data standards, data privacy requirements, and automation tools over time.
What you need to have:
- Data Foundations: Basic understanding of data processing and data quality principles;
- SQL Skills: Hands-on experience writing SQL queries to extract and analyze data;
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: Capacity to maintain meticulous documentation of processes, to support troubleshooting and repeatability;
- Problem-Solving: Interested in identifying data issues, helping troubleshoot discrepancies and supporting process improvements;
- Growth focused: Desire to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time.
What we would love to see:
- Healthcare Data Exposure: Familiarity with eligibility, medical claims, pharmacy claims, or prior authorization data, and an interest in learning how these data sets are structured and used across the healthcare ecosystem;
- Data Broker & EDI Exposure: Familiarity with data brokers (e.g. Availity, Change Healthcare) or EDI Transactions, especially 270/271 and 834 transactions;
- Compliance Awareness: Basic understanding of handling Protected Health Information (PHI) within HIPAA and other relevant regulatory frameworks, with a strong sense of data governance and security;
- Professional Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a data-related or operations role.
