Leidos Office of the Chief Information Officer, within the Digital Modernization sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced Data Operations Architect to design, implement, and manage data systems and pipelines. This role focuses on ensuring efficient and secure data flow, storage, and access, leveraging the CIO cloud data platform to meet specific business needs for data and analytics.
Location: This position offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely from any U.S. based location.
What will you do in this role?
Architect and design data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading into various systems.
Establish architecture for enforcing data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
Architect and design validation solution to to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Collaboration:
Working with business stakeholders, data analysts, data scientists, and other IT teams to understand data needs and requirements and architect system components to efficiently meet these requirements
Perform Technology Assessments - Evaluate and recommend appropriate data technologies and tools to support business goals.
Monitor data systems and pipelines to identify and address performance issues.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 12-15 years of relevant experience or Master's and 10-12 years.
15 years of experience in Data Architecture and Engineering disciplines
Experience designing data pipelines for Operational data flows
Experience performing Technology Assessments and Analysis of Alternatives
Strong understanding of database technologies (e.g., relational, NoSQL), data warehousing, ETL processes, and data pipeline tools.
Experience in data modeling using techniques like ER diagrams, conceptual modeling, and logical modeling.
Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, or other languages used for data manipulation and transformation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
Data Science and AI training
Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
